Playing in the Rain

On Friday me and my roomate decided to go disc golfing even tho it looked like it was going to start raining. When we got to Bicentenial Park was when the storm started, it was amazing there was nobudy on the course at all. We played about 3 rounds before people started showing up cuse the storm had ended. Playing in the rain put intresting twist on all the baskets i had goten use to in the past, the tees were slick and the wind was strong. On a ragular basis i would slip on the tee and over rotate my drive and have to make my way back to the fairways. I had so much fun and would love to try it again.

My favorite disc golf producer

When i got started in disc golf the people that tought me how to play well used innova so predictably all but one of the discs i owne is made by innova. I mainly buy Innova becuse i have an easy time understanding there web site and charts they have for there discs. I also owne one of discrafts discs its a Super color buzzz that i mainly bought becuse of the cool decal it had on the frount of it. It is a great straight shooting disc that i use all the time.

My discs with innova discriptions of each one and a little bit from me

Wraith - The Wraith is long stable Distance Driver. It performs predictably well in the wind with speed, glide and accuracy. Great distance for players of all skill levels.

I like to use this disc when theres to much wind to accuratly use a Whippet.
Whippet - A very over-stable flyer used for long left hooking shots. It holds up extremely well in a head wind and is a high power disc suitavle for professional level players.

I use this one all the time for long left hooking shots and it works great.
Valkyrie - Has a combination of speed, and glide such that heavier weights fly extremely long upwind and lighter weights get extreme range downwind. The Valkyrie holds the world distance rexord at 820 feet!

I have alot of fun with this disc. I use this one the most out of all my drivers.
Stingray -our best Mid-Range disc for right turning shots. Its excellent glide and flight pattern help stretch out shots for newer players. It is one of our most popular rollers.

Great disc to use to get around trees and straight shots.
Starfire - A fast, dependable disc with a long straight flight and excellent glide. This disc can add measurable distance to your drives. Now available as part of our regular product line.

Not shure it added that much to my drives but is a great distance driver.
Shark - The best all around golf disc. Its very accurate for drives and approach shots. You can even putt with it. Excellent for beginners in lighter weights.

I use this one all the time for long approach shots works great.
Roc - Our number one professional mid-Range disc. It is very reliable at the high speeds that pros throw. It ages slowly' becoming an excellent slow turning disc as it wears.

Good disc all around.
Orc - One of our most popular Distance Drivers in terms of speed, accuracy, and stavility. Great for straight ahead power shots and long left turning shots. Good for a wide range of players.

Another one i found in a park and never really use so not shure how good it is.
Monster - Delivers confidence' power and distance into the wind. It is a seriously overstable' wind-beating Distance Driver designed for pro level players with above average power.

Not a big fan of this one i only owne it cuse I found an unmarked one at a course.
Leopard - Should be everyone's first Fairway Driver. It is useful for long straight shots, gentle hyzers and turnover shots. Makes a great roller disc once it becomes "experienced".

I Love this disc. i think innova has this discription down i use this disc for everything.
Groove - The Champion Groove is our second Speed 13 Driver The Groove features an innovative groove on the underside of the rim. This channel allows this speed 13 driver to be molded in lighter weights than our other wide rim high speed drivers. The Groove offers super fast long and straight flights. It can be thrown low or high and sidearm or backhand.

This disc is really acword to throw and i dont like the wide rim. Really good for power throwers thou and gets great distance if you can get the power into it.
Goblin - The Goblin is a small diameter, point and shoot putt & approach disc. An excellent starter disc and for one-disc rounds. Great for putting to short drives.

Totaly agree this is a great all around disc.
Firebird - Our most popular upwind Distance Driver. Ther Firebird's superior speed and stability make play on windy days a breeze. A favorite of sidearm throwers.

I mostly use this one to practice and never really use it.
Destroyer - Faster then fast, the Destroyer offers the fastest flight of any Innova golf disc to date. The Destroyer has great grip and superior distance.

This is a great disc for power throwers. It has great distance if you can get the power behind it. Im not that good with this disc but i know alote of people that like it.
Birdie - Birdie is our best "go-for" disc and an excellent approach disc. It is a slow, straight flyer with a sure Thumtrac grip that makes it easy to go for it without worry.

This is great for putting not my favorate for approach shots but its nice for short putts.
Beast - One of the hottest selling Distance Drivers in disc golf. It is one of our fastest, longest gliding discs. The Beast will increase the driving distance of beginners and pros alike. An excellent tailwind driver.

I love this disk it was my first distance drive and i still use it for long shots. This disk is grate for long sidearm shots in my opinion.
Banshee - A very reliable Fairway Driver in all wind conditions and will fly far and accurately into the wind. An excellent power disc for backhand and sidearm.

I never really use this disk most the times it gets used are only practice throus.
Aviar P&A - The number one putter in disc golf. Having won more World Championships then all other putters combined. The Aviar is our most popular disc.

This disc is ok I only use it to get around trees.
Aero - Aero is our best disc for new players. It is the straightest point-to-point golf disc and the easiest disc to keep on the fairway for novice players.

I totaly agree with Innova on this disc its great for long putts where you need alot of accuracy.

Best game yet

Yesterday i went to Bicentenial park and was only abele to get to 11 of the basket but for the first time ever i got par on a course!! =)

Courses in Utah

I spend most of my time disc golfing at Bicentenial Park in provo becuse it is the easiest one for me to get to. I dont like play holes 4-12 becuse they dont take care of that part of the course and i have almost lost alot of discs in the tall grass. I looked at the rock canyon park courses and decided that it was to high of a dificulty for me. I had alot of fun at the Creekside Park Course, it had some degree of difficulty but was still alot of fun to play. does anyone know of any other good courses in the Provo Utah area? Please list them if you know of any.

new to disc golf

I’ve been Disc Golfing for about a year now and am still kind of a noob. I average about 7 to 15 over par for the course. I started off with a DX Beast and a DX Aviar P&A, I’m looking for advice on what kind of disks might be better and which ones are to hard to throw for a person with only average power.
